Case studies
Here is a selection of projects we have completed.
Architectural Heritage Fund / Funds for Historic Buildings
The Architectural Heritage Fund approached us initially to redesign their website. Having done so, we were then invited to develop a new database-driven web application for “Funds For Historic Buildings - A Directory Of Sources” in conjunction with Jeremy Eckstein Associates. Already existing in a printed form, the brief was to take the existing Access database and convert it to a form suitable for publishing on the web.
This exciting project, launched in February 2006, involved working closely with the founders of the business to develop the Flash programming for the website themes, the back-end administration database to enable customers to build and manage their baby’s websites, and the facility to upload photos to their site direct from a camera phone. The site runs on a dedicated server and has full security (SSL) and credit card processing systems in place.
Developed by Rockstar to coincide with the launch of The Prodigy’s greatest hits compilation and tour in 2005, our role was to do the back-end database programming and front-end Flash programming to enable the band to update the news, diary and tour pages themselves, and to develop the “moblog”, or mobile blogging system so they could upload pictures from a camera phone.
The brief from Publicity Works was to develop a contact management system / blog to enable them to post press releases about themselves and their clients. Not a bad idea for a PR agency really. RSS feeds are built in so journalists can keep right up to date with all press activity.
Some other sites worth looking at include:
Bexley Heritage Trust / Hall Place / Danson House
Teucer Wilson
